This website needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure when I'll find the time to do this. For meaty spiritual discussions try www.profoundprophecy.com.
The purpose of this site is to give glory to the creator of the universe, YHVH almighty, and his sent forth one Y'shua (Jesus). It is primarily centered on chronology, as this is my obsession.
The theme of this site is time (the cycles of YHVH). I will give evidence that our creator repeats self similar patterns in time, just as he has repeating self similar patterns in his physical creations. An example of the physical can be seen in the margin to the left. It is a picture of a fern frond. Do you see how each section of the frond resembles the whole frond? If you were to zoom in on one leaf, you could again see this pattern repeat. In this site I will show you that YHVH uses that same technique in his perfect plan of salvation. More on this later.
Hebrew Roots
This site is initially being put on line for the benefit of those who "keep the commandments", and believe that Y'shua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah. Without having this "Hebrew mind set", you may not fully understand what is being taught in these pages. I do not wish to debate whether or not we should be keeping Torah in the 21st century. We all have free will, and I have chosen to keep the Torah to the best of my ability. Each person is free to make their own choice. I should clarify what I mean by keeping Torah, but first let's established what the Torah is.
The Torah is another name for what Moses wrote down while on Mount Sinai just after the exodus from Egypt. It also includes a record of when the Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years.
In Moses' day, many variations of flood accounts, and general oral traditions of the history of man existed in all cultures. There were also a wide variety of mythologies built around false gods. Even the oral traditions that were passed down among the Hebrews had probably been contaminated with false information while they were in Egypt for hundreds of years. The time had come for a great corrective.
What Moses wrote on the mountain was dictated to him word for word from YHVH the creator of the universe. Moses did not document the legends of the Hebrews, but instead he wrote an accurate history dictated by the most reliable possible witness.
Besides receiving an accurate history of their ancestors, the new nation of Israel also received their constitution, and a set of laws. When Y'shua was asked which is the greatest commandment, note what he says below:
Mat 22:36 "Teacher, which is the great command in the Torah?"
Mat 22:37 And יהושע (Jesus/Y'shua) said to him, “ ‘You shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind.’
Mat 22:38 “This is the first and great command.
Mat 22:39 “And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
Mat 22:40 “On these two commands hang all the Torah and the Prophets.”
Notice how our Messiah said that all the Hebrew scriptures hang on these two great commands? The rest of the 600 or so commands are simply a commentary on how to apply these two, and also what to do if you purposely or inadvertently break one of these commands. The greatest commandment is embodied in the first 4 commandments. It is to love YHVH with you whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. The second commandment is embodied in the last six commandments. It is to love your neighbor as yourself. Some of these commands are specifically for:
fathers
mothers
husbands
wives
children
priests
employees
employers
kings
subjects
Each individual only had a few hundred laws, at most, that pertained to them specifically, and those laws were only expanding on the basic 10, which can be narrowed down to 2. So we can choose to obey YHVH's 10 or man's hundreds of thousands. Which Kingdom sounds legalistic and restrictive to you?
I should also mention that keeping the Torah is not the same as keeping the 1000s of rules and traditions that were added by the Jewish religious leaders. Some of these may have been added with good intent, but non of these added rules are needed, and they are what Y'shua called a burden. Almost every miracle he did, if not all of them, broke one or more of the religious leader's added rules. This was to show the masses that these burdensome rules did not have to be kept. This is why the religious leaders wanted to kill him!
The Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) were written by Hebrews, for Hebrews, and in Hebrew. I also believe, as do others, that this is true for what are call the “Greek Scriptures”. If so, then we must learn to think as a Hebrew and understand the Hebrew culture, if we are to correctly understand the scriptures.
If you are not familiar with the feasts of YHVH, the Seven High Sabbaths of our creator, then you should start by reading Leviticus chapter 23. Without understanding the feasts you will never be able to understand how our Messiah has fulfilled, and will fulfill every aspect of them. Scot Dryer has some good videos that teach the basics of the feasts.
One of My Favorite Scriptures
Ecc 12:12 And besides these, my son, be warned – the making of many books has no end, and much study is a wearying of the flesh.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!
The point being made here by the wise king Solomon is that, we can spend endless hours writing and reading many books (or web sites), to the point of becoming weary. The obligation of all mankind though, is to keep his commandments.
Joh 14:21 “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.” Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Notice how Y'shua stated that those who love him would keep his commandments?
If you would like to become more familiar with the Hebrew roots of the scriptures, I would recommend the following...
understand the feast days, as brought out in Leviticus 23
There are many other great sources out there, but the best is to read the scriptures yourself. Pray for an unbiased mind, and remember the scriptures were written by Hebrews and for Hebrews. You must read with their culture and mindset, not a western (Greek) mindset.
I recommend the above links as a place to start. I have enjoyed many of their commentaries on the scriptures, and have been in agreement with most of what they teach. It is never a good idea to follow a man. Our leader should be Messiah Y'shua (Jesus). Learning from many different people will help you to have a well rounded view of the scriptures. One person will never have it all right, and some of the above teachers have specialized in certain aspects of the scriptures, just as this site specializes in cycles of time. As you remove some of your old paradigms, and diligently dig, the spirit will show you things in scripture that you were blind to before.
Time is Fractal
What does fractal mean? It is a term that was coined by a genius mathematician named Mandelbrot. He noticed that there are self similar patterns in nature. Of course he was not the first one to notice this, but he was the first to discover that the incredible complexity we see in nature can be described in simple mathematical equations. Mandelbrot wrote a book, and generated computer graphics that led to a revolution in computer graphics, mapping technology, cell phone antennas, and much more.
So, “big deal”, you say…”what does all that have to do with Bible prophecy and chronology”? Well the scriptures tell us at
Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible qualities have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, both His everlasting power and Mightiness, …
So I submit to you that we can understand his invisible quality of time by studying the visible things he has made. YHVH is the master of time. He is in no way controlled by it like we are in the physical, but he is in complete control.
Isa 46:8-10 The Scriptures 1998+
(8) “Remember this, and show yourselves men; turn it back, you transgressors.
(9) “Remember the former events of old, for I am El, and there is no one else – Elohim, and there is no one like Me,
(10) declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do,’
How to navigate this site
As I stated earlier, I am very interested in Bible chronology. The core of this site consists of Bible timelines. You will notice that most pages on this site consist of a chart and text below to explain the chart. The charts are loaded with hotspots that can be clicked on, which will load an explanation of that section in the text below. If you are on a page with a lot of text, then just click on one of the chart buttons to instantly take you back to the chart. When you want to return to the place you were last reading, just hit the backspace button on your keyboard.
The Picture Above
The above picture is included because it has helped me to imagine in my mind the infinite nature of YHVH. Find the hotspot in the center of the spiral and click!
